Howdy! My name is Samuel and I am a materials engineering student from the USA (just in case you weren’t tipped off by my greeting). Beyond being a student, I’m an art fanatic. I enjoy working in many different mediums and learning from a variety of artists. For Project Island, I work as a 3D modeler tasked with optimizing game objects and occasionally producing fun renders for our Instagram. Ultimately, my job is mostly to make sure the game looks good and will “play well”.
I became interested in the project, because I used to play the LEGO Island games regularly! I loved being able to explore, find little nooks and crannies around the map, talk to whacky islanders and, of course, crush the competition in jet ski races. LEGO Island was one of the first games I ever played on PC and it got me hooked.
